Introduction to Calm Abiding Meditation
Saturday, March 17, 10 am-noon
Calm Abiding is the foundational practice in Tibetan Buddhism as well as many other spiritual traditions. The practice of calm abiding meditation involves cultivating the ability to rest the mind one-pointedly on an object. The result of engaging repeatedly in this practice is that not so many thoughts arise and the mind becomes very stable and calm. There are a number of well-documented physical, psychological and spiritual benefits of calm abiding meditation. Cost $25.
